Different Area Code...Same God

This past weekend while vacationing in Miami, Florida I had the opportunity of visiting ‘New Birth Baptist Church Cathedral of Faith International’. Even though I was away on vacation, I was not on vacation from receiving the Word that the Lord had in store for me to receive. I went to Miami with a list of four churches to choose from to worship on Sunday, May 19th but on that morning I prayed to God to direct me to a church and He utilized one of the staff members at the hotel where we were staying to inform me of New Birth. I was blessed with a mighty Word not to mention I had the honor of being in attendance that morning for the 22nd Pastoral Anniversary Celebration of the pastor of the house, Bishop Victor T. Curry.  The Guest Speaker: Reverend Michael A. Walrond, Jr. from First Corinthian Church of Harlem, New York City preached on a subject that many individuals are struggling with on a daily basis..."demons". The Sermon was entitled…"Lessons from a Delivered Maniac! ~Mark 5:18-20". The story is a familiar story of an imperfect soul. As Reverend Walrond stated, demons are not at the forefront of Jesus’ mind because the demons know who Jesus is. The possibility of being delivered is real! Amen… I’m one of many who can testify on that. God delivered me but most importantly He renewed my mind. You see, the real issue wasn’t the demon it was the man’s mind. Thank you to Reverend Walrond for an awesome Word and thank you Holy Spirit for showing up because the presence of the Lord was definitely in the house! 

I’m grateful that I found a place to worship whenever I’m in the Miami area and when I go to the city I will be checking out Rev. Walrond's church as well!... ; )
